Weinig motorfietsmerken hebben zo'n fascinerende geschiedenis als Ducati. Van gebombardeerde ruines op het einde van de Tweede Wereldoorlog is Ducati gegroeid tot een van 's-werelds belangrijkste motorfietsfabrikanten. In de vijftiger jaren introduceerde hun grote ingenieur Favio Taglioni de desmodromic kleppen en dit unieke systeem geeft Ducati nog steeds iets speciaals. Few motorcycle marques have such a fascinating history as Ducati. From bombed-out ruins at the end of the Second World War, Ducati has grown to be one of the world's premier motorcycle manufacturers. In the 1950s their great engineer Fabio Taglioni introduced desmodromic valves, and this unique system of positive valve actuation continues to set Ducati apart. Ducati now builds some of the world's most exotic Superbikes and competes at the highest level of motorcycle competition - and it all began with the humble 48cc Cucciolo moped.
