Preface :
This collection of motor cycling hints and tips is described  as "edited" be me (Road Rider), not because any single one of them has been knowingly obtained from any published source, but because few of them can claim to be absolutely original, and the majority are drawn from that floating mass of knowledge which is the common property of all experienced riders.
They are now published without any profession of novelty, but in order that they may henceforward be at the disposal of such motor cyclists as have not yet amassed them by the longer road of riding experience.
