The success of the earlier title Motorcycles to 1945 prompted this follow-up, covering the period from 1945 to the present day (1976).
During these three decades much has changed in the world of two-wheelers. The old-established type of motorbike has all but disappeared and we have witnessed the advant of the popular motorscooter and the ultra modern high-speed lightweight machines, as well as sophisticated mopeds, not to mention today's impressive 'superbikes'. In addition there are countless specialist sporting machines for trials, scrambling, road racing, and other events. Some 250 specimens are illustrated in this book, with technical data and other points of interest.
