More than 2.500 motorcycle manufacturers from more than 30 nations are listed. In each case, their history is summarized and their products discussed. Thousands of individual machines are noted, and more than 1000 illustrations accompany the entries, including a number of hitherto-unpublished photographs.
All of the early American makes, all the great British classics, the famous Italian machines, the past and present products of the mighty Japanese industry … some of the worlds most unusual motorcycles, and some superb examples of engineering skill.
