Motocross in Dworp is a sequel to the book “Grizzly”, one of the most well known motorsport celebrities in Belgium. Dworp is a village a few miles away from Brussels, where since 1938 a motocross took place until 1973. The first three editions were won by Grizzly alias Gilbert De Rudder. All the best Belgian motocross riders came here at the start, for instance Marcel Meunier, August Mingels, Nic Jansen, Victor Leloup, René Baeten, Hubert Scaillet, Roger De Coster, Joel Robert, Harry Everts, etc … Also many foreign pilots participated in the “Dworpse” motorcycling: Jeff Smith, Johnny Draper, Heikki Mikkola, Torsten Hallman, Pekka Vekhonen etc .. The book gives an overview of all the matches taking place in Dworp with more than 300 photographs.
