JIMMIE GUTHRIE HAWICK’S RACING LEGEND
GESCHREVEN DOOR JOHN E. ROGERSON / GORDON SMALL
Published by Hawick Archaeological Society – Reprint 2022
This book gives an insight into the life of Jimmie Guthrie, a Scottish sporting icon whose life was so tragically cut short.
It traces his career from an early engineering apprenticeship, through serving as a dispatch rider during WW1, followed by the creation and development of a garage business in Hawick with brother Archie.
These beginnings led to a glorious career in professional motorcycle racing.
